Adam Sherk

VP SEO and Digital Strategy, Define Media Group, Inc.

Adam Sherk is VP SEO and Digital Strategy for Define Media Group. He has worked in digital marketing
since 1996 and has been focused on news search and publisher SEO since 2007.

At Define Adam serves as an embedded strategist working closely with technical, editorial and marketing
teams to expand and improve SEO and AI efforts across the organization.

He has extensive experience in news search, technical SEO analysis and troubleshooting, editorial SEO
training and support, Google core update diagnostic and remediation efforts, site migrations and Google
Discover. He also has a background in public relations and social media.

In addition Adam works with publishers to manage and improve AI/LLM visibility and to effectively
incorporate those tools in the newsroom.

In his tenure at Define he has consulted with a wide range of news and lifestyle publishers including
CNN, NBC News, CNBC, Bloomberg, NBCUniversal, Versant, Time Inc., Conde Nast, BuzzFeed, VICE and
several national and regional newspapers, among others.

Prior to joining Define Media Group, Adam worked for enterprise search marketing firm Global
Strategies, now part of Ogilvy. Adam managed organic search campaigns for IBM across multiple
business units. He also worked with Cisco, focusing on news search optimization and training their
corporate communications team.

Adam previously served as a VP at Atomic PR, now part of Grayling, where he launched a regional office for the technology-focused firm and helped establish its initial client base.

Earlier in his career, Adam was VP of Internet Public Relations at Multimedia Marketing Group, one of
the first interactive marketing firms, now part of WPP. While there he built an online public relations
department from scratch and managed accounts utilizing a wide range of online marketing tactics
including SEO. During that time Adam was also one of the primary builders of Internet News Bureau, an
e-mail press release service that was acquired by Internet.com and later became part of Jupitermedia.
